side air vents on turbos
side air vents on turbos
This may be a dumb observation but I really dislike the trim around the side air vents on the turbos. Wouldn't a smooth transition of to the vents be better than the trim ring around them. Is there a reason for this, such as removal of the vent to get at something? Will the 997 have the same look. I have a 2004 C4S and don't have to worry about it but, I have always thought it looks kind of cheesy. Any comments? Thanks, Doug
It's a good point........Porsche went to 'snap in panals' sometime ago (like center bumper intake on the Box S, etc).
I'm sure it's far less expensive for them. As was pointed out, the 993TurboS was the way to do it.

Thanks for your opinions on this. I was begining to think my comments were too negative and no one cared to respond. When you have such nice flowing curves on these beautiful cars it just stops me dead in my track when I see the insert vents. Maybe this vent needs to be located somewhere else if it can not be done in one continuous body panel. The widebody looks better without them if they are going to look like that. Doug
