Footwell lighting

My 2001 C2 Cab did not come with footwell lighting. I know a dash switch is available but I'm wondering if the wiring harness is equipped with the connectors for footwell lighting. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Most likely not. Each wiring harness is custom made based on the options specified. I know tis because when I added heated seats and PSE I had to craft new wiring for each. I thought they would just have a standard wiring harness but that is not the case.

no harness, but there are many different ways to get light at the footwell.
Most common mod is to wire two lights to the switch for the other interior lights located on the top center dome, this will allow it to dim at the same time as the others. Its alot of work if you want to install it with switch in dash, but doable.

you can also wire into the door wiring which i found much easer to get to...its behind the passanger side footwell panel....I used LED bulbs so there would not be much more drain on the stock system...

I custom installed some when I had other things installed. I had my guy add a small strip of red LEDs under the dash to light the footwells. he tapped into I think a parking light from the inside so when I turn the parking lights on the footwells light up.

I love em..very subtle "mod" and well can only be seen at night!
