the factory wheel on my '04 c4 is too wide for a snow tire, Wheel Enhancemant has been very helpful and has a 18x10 inch turbo look wheel that will fit, but before I spend $1500, I thought I sure run it by this forum to see if anybody has another suggestion (I would use the current front wheels and install Blizzak LM25 tires)

 

When I run winter tires of my 740i, I use 4 snows. I believe you should do that also for the best snow performance.

 

I have posted another thread on the same subject on renntech. We found the most cost effective solution at tirerack. They sell a set of mille miglia wheels (which look like the stock C4S wheels)with snowtires for about $1800. I intend to get mine later this year. That way you will not have to remove tires from existing rims, and get a complete matched set.

is the mille miglia wheel identical to the stock wheel? That way I can use my current front wheels and save several hundred dollars.

I plan on buying gemballa competition wheels after the winter and putting my current summer tires on these, and I will leave the snows on the stock wheels and, if they matches, the miglia wheels

 

I'm pretty sure that they are not a perfect match--they only look similar. I also don't think the stock front wheels will work as well with the snow tires, but I could be wrong. Your best bet is to call the tirerack guys.
