Hardtop tinting

I've just got my 02 996 C4 Cab after a decade of waiting and working. Need some thoughts on how to tint the entire hard top rear window. The shop asked me to remove the hardtop but can't see how they can do it without removing the bottom panel to get to the furthest edge of the window.
Please pass on your thoughts. The picture is of the bottom view.

I'll post pics once my wheels and tint are done ... And I suppose I'll never be done.

THX for any help.

you are trying to have the window tinted? Any reputable tint co should be able to do it. Its not really neccisary to take the window out.

Good luck

I can see your avatar but did you get your hard top tinted too? If so, did they get to the bottom of the entire window? Even below where the glass meets the soft top cover (when mounted on)? I'm guessing that they would end the tint as far down until the rear window meets the cover. Hopefully I'm explaining it correctly. Thanks for the reply though.
