certified pre owned vehicle needs brakes after 2000 miles of ownership
I have yet to contact the dealership regarding this, I would have thought that we might be able to go a little longer before having to do brakes. (pads are low, sensors are squealing...car was bought by my wife and not checked out by anyone else...she fell in love and came home with it) Vehicle is a 2004 Cabriolet TT AWD that was purchased with 9k miles. Do I have a legit complaint here? If so what is the best way to rectify this?

I'm afraid that I don't think you do. Dealers are what they are and everyone knows what they are. You should have had a PPI performed which would have picked this up and what I suspect will be other things. 11K and new brakes equates to harsh driving or track time. Under normal driving you could get well over 30K and maybe over 40K from a set of pads. My rears are original and have 44K on them.
Perhaps the dealer includes a 90 day/3000 mile warranty with their used cars?

you have no legal right at all , if the dealership is nice they will take care of it, or split the cost with you, but most likely your on your own.
i would call the GM and be nice and explain to him what happend, if he's a good guy he will take care of it (and if they made a good profit on the car) good luck ,
and remember the nicer you are the more they will help you trust me
(my uncle owns a few dealers and ive been in the car buisness for a while

Pads are like $300 bucks for a TT. And maybe that was discounted from the cost of the car - but it never hurts to ask, I suppose. Good luck.
