Airbag Light issue

I have a 2001 996 C2 with an airbag light issue. I have checked it with the Durametric and the fault code is number 27; ignition circuit passenger. Even though this is not the usual code numbers 45, 46, 48, & 49 on the well known TSB 0201, should I just go ahead and do the buckle replacement to address this problem? Any other ideas?

The parts for the replacement are only $185 and it's fairly easy to do yourself. Unfortunately, I don't think that this will fix my problem.
Any other feedback on fixing this fault code would be appreciated.
