I used to get a lifter tick sound when I used headers. You'll sometimes get that with a leaking exhaust manifold gasket or flange gasket between your headers, cats, or mufflers.

You may want to retorque the bolts on the exhaust system as with heat cycles they will change shape and start to leak causing the valve noise.

Cheers

checked exhaust had small leak resolved leak noise still apparent, from what i've heard lifter noise usually is most pronounced when cold till oil is at temp then can fade away or stay, my noise is heard when at operating temp, it is more pronounced if i have been driving really hard.

thanks for the input
Marko

What oil do you run?

I switched to a thicker Motul oil instead of the watered down Mobil 1 recommendation.

Cheers
