rear spoiler brake light

Can anybody help me,does the rear brake light in the pop up spoiler only work when the car is moving.I know the lighting unit works, but how do you test the brake light, without getting someone to follow you till the spoiler comes up?

you have a switch to manually raise the tail... down by your left foot, at the fuse cover

it would work if u have the spolier up and press the brake...the bulbs might be out or something is wrong with the wireing

and how did u test it ? u swapped it with the bottom one? and if its an led aftermarket ...u have to reverse the wires....cut and swith the 2 wires that connect the light...i had to when i swapped my to leds
