RUF RGT Upgrade

Hi, I havent posted on the porsche section ever but I am going to start as I have a itch for a street legal race car

The question comes from a friend of mine who has 2000 Porsche 996 with a full spec RUF RGT built (not factory), I believe its 300hp, so its not the 3.6L. It is a damn nice car and he has had it since new and he is begging me to ask how he can get more power to the p-car. His current mileage is around 70,000 miles (110,000kms or so) and has gotten his clutch redone recently and he says its been running great. He also doesnt want to give it up so he was asking how he could get power, and I thought supercharger for his C2. He has all the other Ruf mods and the car can handle like its on rails but it needs more power. What would he need to do and what kind of costs is he looking at? All opinions appreciated. Supercharger?? Engine Swap?? Rebuild??

NO HELP AT ALL, Did I say something wrong or is it my profile name. I know there are some P-car gurus here to help out.

If the car is genuine RUF then depending on budget he could have RUF SC installed and keep value or aftermarket Vortec SC which is a good bang for the buck also and half the cost of RUF.

i thought ruf discontinued the SC for the 996 since nobody was interested in them. Also if it is a true Ruf RGT i think it should have a 380hp GT3 motor.

+1 on GT3 engine comment above...has your pal tried the usual incremental tweaks: LWFW, Plennum, Intake, Cats, Exhaust, Chip, Odyssey Battery and other dieting items...perhaps take a search through the 996/GT3 forums for more ideas?
