I have a similar picture of a factory delivered 993 Turbo in Sept. of 1995. This action was in Germany on the autobahn. This party was part of a factory tour that we were on, and they were a family of 4 in this car; the male driver, his wife, his mother and his teen age son. The fast hand was pointing to 197 miles per hour, it had some rpms left and showed 139 miles on the new car. The wife said that it did get to over 200mph on the speedometer, but she was not able to get that picture. I ofen thought of how she had to be up near his face trying to get that picture of 200mph. There was also a retired foot ball player who said that he saw over 200mph on his car also.

 

The picture is for sure a Turbo. But it can be done in a "normal" 996 C2 Cab

The picture show 283 KMH which is 176 MPH.........it got steady at 287 KMH, that is 179 MPH.
