Having a clear bra done right now. Prefer to take the emblem off than seam around it.

Doesn't look like it should be that hard, but I have a tendency to break things when I don't know what I'm doing

Pop the hood, you'll see two holes where the emblem is. Find a fitting wrench and give it a go You'll find there is LITTLE holding the crest in place.

are there supposed to be threaded posts on the bottom of the emblem which is held down by bolts?

i went out and looked at it and it doesn't look quite like that.

There are two 8 mm speed nuts.

You need an 8mm socket with an extension in order to reach thru the holes to fasten and unfasten the fasteners.

Heat the gasket in hot water in order to make it easier to form around the emblem.

Also do not tighten the fasteners to tight on the studs because they will snap off. The studs are only soldered on. (Ask me how I know)

got it. thanks guys. what was throwing me off was the fact the the nuts stayed up in the hole. kept waiting for them to drop down

no probs with the gasket. went on cold.

doesn't even seem like you could really sockem down, even if you wanted to. feels like it would keep spinning. i don't want to learn the hard way, so i just tightened slightly.
