this incarnation looks pretty stupid.........a coupe boxster? what is that supposed to accomplish? why not just buy a 911 coupe at that point.....oh, i know why, some can't, and that's what porsche is saying to you.

next thing you know there will be a cayenne 3 door......or worst.

Agree with some others... looks too similar to the 911. Didn't Porsche already make this mistake when their pre-2000 996's front looked like the Boxster?

And here I thought Porsche built cars to make money..

Do you think they really care about the few 911 owners that feel insecure because their cars look too similar to the Boxster? If not for the Boxster, there'd be no company today, so you should think about that the next time you feel like *****ing about it.

If you were referring to me... (or all the members sharing their opinions that differs from yours)... first, I wasn't *****ing and I don't think any others were. We were simply sharing my opinion as the poster asked. I think the Boxster is a great car and the new redesign is great. Just didn't like the coupe.

Secondly, if I recalled correctly... Porsche DID redesigned their 02+ 911 (996) front end so that it didn't resemble the Boxster.

It doesn't look like a boxster, the whole rear looks like a 911.
I would think that a boxster coupe would look similar to a boxster with the hardtop on and not this.
I think the rear of the boxster should look more like the GT and not a 911. People who buy this are difenatly getting a 911 look a like with almost the same performance for half the price.

excellent point. Why would they deviate from the Boxster design. The 911 has a Coupe and CAB which look very similar when the hardtop is on the cab. They have really created a new car and wrongly named it under the Boxster marque.
