To Paint or not to paint

Tried to take a picture on my Iphone, but only got shiny hood and fenders. Must say I don't see a thing other than where some bird "poop" burned my paint a little , but even this really improved (I know where to look). I will check to find the name of the company and post it here (if this is OK, please advise).

I believe the generic term is called a "color sand". I had it done to a black AMG a few years ago. Looked like new but was told the paint was slightly thinner - and not to do it too many times.

Interesting, but it worked for 6 years and 65,000 miles of chips. So far I'm pretty happy. I would guess that if they take the paint off, that I'll have to repaint, but in the meantime, it sure is a heck of a lot cheaper.
