Ok, the direction is set:

Dwain at Vision Motorsports is rebuilding an engine for me as we speak. After talking extensively with him and others, as well as considering options as Nickies and a new rebuilt from Porsche, I decided on that route. He really knows his stuff, as some people that recommended him agree with. And, he's a very nice down to earth guy too.

Moreover, I am learning very interesting facts about what to do or what the pros/cons of each options are that I could not find online, and I will be happy to share. For now, the engine will be done and working in a couple of weeks.

The rebuilt engine will address chronic issues of course. PM if you have any particular questions. I had a lot of help from the wonderful people in this forum and rentech's and the least I can do is correspond.

Will post progress

Careful where ever you have it serviced ... last thing you want is the car back in pieces by someone unqualified. I had my car detailed and used Durametric to find out if anything was done while it was at the shop. The odometer changed by only 100 meters driving in and out of the shop, but it appeared as though they revved the engine probably to hear the exhaust note ... can never trust many places once they get their hands on a sports car.

Thumbs up Done!

Got car back . Engine smooth as silk. The ordeal is over. Very happy with Dwain at Vision. He kept the budget to the estimate, within a couple of hundreds. I will drive the car for 500 miles and bring it back and they will check if there is any problems although it shouldn't.

Thanks to all the people that offered help and support.
