I bought an 02 996 C2 a couple months ago with the intent of running it in autocross and the occasional track day (replacing my other current autocross car). I have been looking around trying to figure out what the widest tire I can manage on the front is. I think a 245/35 r18 will fit, but a 255/35 r18 probably won't. Has anyone tried this? As for wheels, the Alleggerita HLT seem to be priced well for their weight and rim width. The car currently has PSS9s on it so it is a bit lower and I have a couple degrees of negative camber on it up front. I'm not against rolling the fenders if I have to, but would like to know if that is required before I order tires.
