Those black discs on the floor

My new-to-me 996 didn't come with floor mats so I just got some. What are those black discs for? Are they supposed to help hold the floor mats in place?

I have to go check, seems like a velcro type attachment to my stock mats

How do you tell if they are stock mats? I bought mine on eBay- item # 230419655924 if anyone cares to look, and I don't know if they are stock or not.
