Anything special needed to mount Hardtop on C4 Cab?

I am looking at a hardtop I found for sale locally, if it looks good, I'll buy it. Can I just put it on the car? Do I need any special hardware to mount it? Do I have the latches already on the car?

On the '99 you should be ok, but on some later models if it wasn't ordered with the top, the hardware is missing. Receptacles and all. Do you see them on your cab?

You should be fine, depending on the year of the hardtop. First of all, check the locks on the new hardtop--if you see a red and white dot with an arrow on top of the locking mechanism, you have a pre 2002 top which will work fine with your '99 cab. If the lock has no markings around the opening where the locking handle goes, you have a newer top, and will have to replace the fittings in your cab with the new version. This will run you about $300 for the parts--you can do the job yourself (see my instructions on renntech.org).
