Rear deck 12" subwoofer custom box install pics
imo, you should of made the box longer, to fill up all the dead space back there now. you could still use the same 12in sub but it kinda just looks like you put that back there, without thinking about it (even though we know you did though). also, the black on the Tan interior is not doing it for me, sticks out more than it should, so it looks even more odd. again, just .02 .
like Fly pointed out, the Green Ninja turtle color your dissin is a factory color from the GT3 Rs.

Yes, you are exactly right. I calculated the air volume of the box for the proper performance and frequency response of the sub woofer just like you said. And you are right, if I would have made the box longer the air volume would have been out of whack and wold have sounded like crap. And as you mentioned, I do still have storage space on either side instead of wasting the space with the wrong sized box or filling in with extender pieces which would just be wasting the space. Oh yeah, and the black box keeps the glare down and doesn't interfere with my ability to see out the back window. Good thing I took your advice and made it black instead of tan which would have reflected the glare. Next time maybe I'll just put a fake speaker back there in a box covered in tan carpet that fills up the entire back deck.
[quote=FLY996;2762356]Looks weird like that as a single standalone square box...the box needs to extend across and conform more to the entire back section...a section that large really looks better with two or more sub's vs. one...
I agree with Fly996...you need another one to balance out..nice job on the box though..
Damn this one is mad crazy dude...very unique..love it.
+1 on the tint & alarm...I hate to see something nice go bad..
