Flashing Temp Light.

I was driving home last night and out of nowhere the red light to the right side of the temp gauge started flashing. The temp did not go past 180 the whole way home. This morning i checked and the coolant was a little low so i filled it back up and ran the car till 180 degrees and all was good. I did not see any leaks anywhere. I changed the water pump about 500 miles ago. I will keep an eye on it but what are you thoughts?

happened to me a while back. the reason was a cracked coolant tank.

you can check your garage floor to see if there are any coolant leaks or look inside around the tank itself. sometimes the coolant leaks but dries up before reaching the floor. good luck.

It happened to me twice

Once coolant was low, the second time cracked coolant tank. 996 tanks are good for about 6-8 years from what I was told, mine cracked at year nine.

After i moved the car i saw a coolant leak from the front of the car. I can't really see where it's coming from untill i take the front bumper off but it's on the passenger side. I hope it's just a hose or something dumb like that.....Fingers crossed....
