I know someone other than me has this problem.
Bought a 14k mile 99 C4 Aero this weekend. The car is just stunning, but the aluminum look lever for the front compartment is showing wear on the edges of the lever. I guess you all know that the Porsche store says they can only sell me that piece as the whole door jamb assembly, with both levers and the memory seat panel for about $700.
If there is another solution, or something else you guys have found that works, would you pass it along? The car is so perfect, I hate for that to show. Thanks in advance if you can help.

 

Im thinking silver touch up paint may work, but I can never make touch up paint look right. You are not the only person to have it for sure. My old 996 had it and my old boxster had it.
