996 in Tucson... yes - or - no?
996 in Tucson... yes - or - no?
So, I landed in Tucson today to check out UofA, and I really like the school to say the least. Question is, how will my 996 do here? I've ran across a bunch of pot holes in my rental, and I've also heard parking is horrible around the campus.
What are your suggestions?

I'll give you my perspective of Tucson's road conditions around campus of UofA having been out there to speak to the student body a couple of months ago. There were indeed a number of pot holes including construction going on for I-10 and frontage roads from what I recall. The conditions for your Porsche specially lowered could be bad in certain areas, but some of the roads around the resorts, and campus such as E Speedway Blvd. were fine.
Traveling towards Scottsdale and Phoenix is when you actually begin to take full advantage of the better road conditions.
Once you get around, you will find the best approaches to travel and avoid stretches of bad road.

Now i'm really questioning it...
I just put a new tranny, clutch, and brakes on the car so I'd hate to sell it so quick. not sure.
thanks for the help though

I have to live in the dorms my first year, and just finding a garage close to campus isnt exactly easy.
Yeah...I give it about a month and something would happen to the car to make you regret it. Door dings will happen, but there's no way to avoid them in that area.
I didnt think the street in Tempe were all that bad. Over by the airport is a different story.
You need to go check out the Library. I think that is what it was called. It is across the way from Hooter.

I'm thinking I'll sell the Porsche and invest in a house near the campus.
