How to program car features...

searched forums and couldnt find an answer.
this may be a dumb question because i think i know the answer, but...

does anyone know how to reprogram some features on a 996, like alarm chirp? doorlocks at 5mph? alarm autolock?

i know a dealer can do this but i dont have time for dealers...
any tips on DIY these features?

BUMP this one. I don't want to pay the dealer any money if I can do this myself.

This is only be done via the PST 2 (Porsche System Tester) that only the Dealer has and some Very High End Shops, as this Software is very expensive

Read the owners manual...I believe you just need to put the vehicle in reverse when saving the seat settings.

You only need to be in reverse when you save the settings using the seat memory buttons.

In other words, it’s only available if you have the memory seats feature (at least this is what the manual says).

That could be. However, the weird part is the key memory is separate from the seat 1 or 2 memory.

i just figured it out, somewhat....
played with the memory seat and the mirror and it finally stored...yupeee
dont remember the sequence exactly because it was kinda luck but the sequence was something like this;
-program your seat then press memory and 1
-put it in reverse and swivel mirror down then press memory and 1 again
-put it in first gear and press 1
it was something like this, you may have to play with it to figure it out...

Glad you figured it out. I recall it taking a few tries before I got it to work.
