how to disassemble the side mirrors (just the painted shells)

My mirror shells are peeling the clearcoat and the body shop is painting them but I need to bring the shells, not the whole car or the whole assembly. Do you know the process to take just the shell?
TIA!

i'm pretty sure you pull the mirror glass towards you to remove it then there is one or two screws holding the mirror cover in place

* Remove Interior Mirror Trim Pieces ( Triangles )
* Remove the 3 Torque's fasteners on each mirror base
* Unplug the Mirror from the base
* Remove the glass/mirror from housing ( be gentle when it comes to prying this off )
* You will then see the necessary **Small** Torques fasteners securing the mirror motor and the mirror cap. Gently remove.
i think thats how you remove the entire mirror assembly, i think op just needs to remove the cover which is much simpler, see my post above
