New '04 Porsche Option!!!

When I bought my '02 Carrera, I received a really nice Porsche pylon engraved with my car's vin, in return for completing their online customer sat survey. My, how time have changed. As I was going through the stuff that came with my '04 Carrera, I came across a pamphlet offering a pylon--for $85. I really liked the pylon, so I sprang for the $85, but I have to tell you (yes, you, PCNA) that I wasn't happy about this...

I also remember buying my first Porsche in 1989, and I received a nice leather key pouch--gratis. Now it's a $95 option...

It's bad enough we have to pay $115 for floor mats on a $85K+ car, but this is getting bad...

OK, I've vented and feel better...

This helps explain why PORSCHE is the most profitable car company in the world.

But have you ever had to get a duplicate key made? That runs to $450. So perhaps we should be grateful.

Last time out I got a porsche mug when I picked up the car, equating to roughly 0.005% of what I'd just handed over. LOL. You've got to love their style.

i got "Porsche pylon engraved with my car's vin" when i brought the C4S last year. it was sent to me after about 2 month ownership.

well, i thought dealer order it for me & they paid for it (my dealer charge more $ on a new car anyway )
