C4S Bumper

I know a number of you have made the change over to the C4S bumper. Can you let me know what parts you changed over.

I visited my Porsche Parts centre and they said I needed to also replace the front bar otherwise it does not fit. Is this true? They also mentioned that the ducts do not work to well what did you do to overcome this?

Your assistance is greatly appreciated

Cool

The front bumper is 1 of the reasons I bought my C4S.
Good luck with your conversion.

it either you buy the front bumper bar forma turbo or c4s or cut off about 2-3 inches from both sides of the support bar of your regular c2.. then it should fit...

arthurK - as far as I know, the c4s and turbo bumpers are the same.

The installation is straightforward. You don't "have" to cut the bar or get different ducts. I did a DIY on the subject a while a go:

PM me with questions and good luck.

Thanks for the info guys.

Bobby - great write up! did a search but your post didnt come through dont know why. One question for you though, with the air ducts did you have to cut or modify the older C2 ducts? I was also told that the Turbo/C4S ones were slightly different because of bigger radiators or different placement ?

Arthur - I didn't need to cut the ducts. The only accomodation that I needed to make because of the existing ducts was cutting the back of the grills that go into the new turbo/C4s bumper -- shown in the pics.
