While I LOVE this car, the Carerra GT has made it obsolete for me and I find it just sits in the garage. I love looking at it every time I go into the garage to drive the CGT, but that's an expensive peice of artwork :-)

Ben: I believe you're in OC right? Do you mind if I come down to take a look at it?

Or if you're going to CC this weekend, would love to meet up.

While I am leaning toward red. seeing it in person might change my mind.

Hey Peter. Actually I'm in San Diego. Coincidentally, I will be at CC this weekend but am taking my wife and baby so won't be bringing the Stradale.

It's my favorite car under $448.3 :-) You have to get someone to let you drive one or at least ride in one. The experience is simply non-duplicatable. When you want it too, it gives you so many sensations (even at low nearly legal speeds). Ferrari just did an absolutely fabulous job on this car in terms of balance. EVERYTHING about the car is perfectly balanced - ie: completely flat (no body roll) without beating you to death (all a product of very expensive materials used - titanium springs, lug nuts, carbon brakes, etc to reduce unsprung weight vs. the 360), not too noisy at all until you want it to be and when you do it's pure race car sound. The traction control in "race" mode (what pretty much any non-poseur uses as default) is just exactly as most of us would have designed it (ie: it let's you drive but keeps you from getting in trouble if you make a mistake). The car is so comforable. The CGT and Stradale are almost identical widths but the Stradale has TONS more space owing to the missing console in the middle and the lack of deep side sills found on the CGT. The brakes on the car are every bit as good as the CGT's only the Stradale's actually feel better (and produce zero brake dust unlike the CGT's). It really is as close to a street legal luxury go kart/race car as I think is available. The visability, driving position, feedback, turn in, etc are all just fantastic and go kart like. If it had more torque (the amount of torque it has is what makes it such a good performer), removeable tops, and a 6 speed shift, there'd be no need for the CGT. Many people like the F1, but I'm a stick kind of guy. While it is so nice listening to the F1 blip the throttle for you on downshifts to match revs and being able to downshift mid-corner knowing you are not going to upset the car, I'm still a "do it yourself" heel/toe kind of driver and therefore prefer the CGT's foot clutch.

The truth is I've been thinking about selling it since maybe two weeks after getting the CGT (2 months ago). However, I love the car so much and finally have my wife on board (played the 10 year anniversary card) as relates the need for both cars (haha), I've taken no actions to move it (ie: marketing, etc). I hate to sell it but I think it's criminal to keep cars like this in the garage forever.

I AM NOT SELLING THE CS.

only reason for me to sell the CS is the CGT, which i have no money to buy now unless collin buys enough mods from me... i'd say 700 europipes maybe.

Ben, would you say the Stradale's "contact patch" makes the brakes just absolutely staggering?
