New Member Introduction - Hi!

Hi everyone,

My name is Davin - first time poster, long time lurker. I've loved reading all of the discussions on here, and have definitely learned a lot in the process.

I finally bit the bullet and had some work done on my car. Here's a pic of my ride, a 2003 Dark Teal Metallic 996 C2 after getting the Misha wing and Fabspeed exhaust installed. There's also a few interior mods, but I'll post some of those once I get the stereo system installed in a few months. I also wanted to give a shout out to Ron and the team @ Autowerks in Northbrook, IL for doing such a great job on the car. They are fantastic to work with and really know their stuff.

Anyway - I wanted to say both 'hello' and 'thanks' to all of the enthusiasts on here. I look forward to contributing to the community.

Great Ride!

Welcome
How do you like the fabspeed exhaust? I am thinking of upgrading my 996 from stock and want something a little louder, but don't want to compete with the harleys in my neighborhood.
Cheers
Gmax

I absolutely love the Fabspeed. It's not too loud, but deep and throaty, especially between 2000-2500 RPM. I haven't gone wide throttle yet (only had the exhaust for a week or so now), but it sounds great. Don't worry about competing with Harleys, however. It's what I imagine a Porsche SHOULD have sounded like out of the factory. I'd check out the Fabspeed site and download the various movie clips. They do a great job of explaining the design and give a nice impression of the exhaust in and outside the drivers seat.

Good luck!
