I am really close to taking the dash off of my black 99 996 cab. Most all the other trim pieces are already off so why not?! Anyway, I want to reskin my dash. My first thoughts are black every where. I want to stay somewhat conservative so while I can see some sort of two tone effect, not too dramatic difference in color for sure. What colors do you guys/gals suggest? Should I keep it all one color or different colors?

Not much to show right now since it's mostly disassembled. Next step - taking the dash off.

I think the coloring he got is perfect... not too loud, but looks so damn good.

 

that looks nice. Coincidentally, I have been thinking of doing black alcantara on the top half of the entire interior - anywhere I can somewhat fit it in and then black leather everywhere else on the bottom. That way the color is the same but the difference in material might really make the bling I am looking for and still be reasonably conservative. What do you think?

Anyone know if I have to take the steering wheel off to remove the dash?
