2001 996 ABS unit leaky mess

I have had my 2001 996 coupe for 5 years with no trouble at all till now. The brake fluid light came on 2 days ago, topped it off and the next day went on again. Found brake fluid pooling up on front storage carpet Took out the carpet and liners and found the ABS pump had fluid coming out of a plastic "button" on the aluminum block when the brakes where applied.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. I don't want to take it to dealer unless no other way. I always do my own brake repair work but this is a little bit scarey with all that plumbing and wires in there.

Does someone know the range of replacement parts? 996 355 755 52 is the part number stamped on the side. I found a 996 355 755 53 on ebay and was wondering on the range.

Thx.

The next to last group of numbers should be 955, not 755. My PET shows the last two digits ranging from 03 to 55, with about 14 different versions. The 52 lists for 01- with the M338/476 options. This is for a 2WD car. Superseded to 62. The 53 for 01- with the M339/476 option, 4WD excluding the 4S. Superseded to 55.

Did you know that Porsche has an on-line PET program, newer than my CD version. You can google it to find it. Also, Porscheoemparts.com has an on-line parts look up with pricing (list and discount) that is very helpful. It shows the fitment and superseded part numbers that I have given here.
