if i leave my car for more than 24 hrs, i lock it. Locking it turns off all of the current draining odds and ends circuits.
try that next time you plan on leaving it for more than a day.
and pop the hood open.
by the way, if you forget to leave the hood open and you have to charge the battery, if you open the kick plate by the drivers left foot, there is a pull out red post. This should be connected to the hot lead of a booster (ground attached to the car frame). this will provide power to open hood.
