So where is this elusive thing? Someone said that it is under the car in the drive shaft tunnel. Then the Porsche dealership in Mobile said that it is under the hood on the drivers side. I don't see it anywhere under the hood and now I getting ready to start taking the underbody panels off. Anyone know for sure?

the fuel pump or the fuel filter?

On the turbo for the fuel filter just look on the intake side (driver side) in the very top back corner... Can't miss it....

Fuel pump? That's under that wierd looking "hump" with four bolts in the front compartment (open the hood).

The fuel filter is the round silver thing behind the blue cap.

On a Boxster/996 it is under the car. Except in 2002 Porsche did away with a replaceable filter on the Boxster/996.

No clue what they did with the turbo in 2002, but if you can see it then it did not change for the turbo.

Well, call me an expert at it now too! Interesting job but not all that bad now that I'm looking back at it.
