996 Headlights

Hi all!

I'm another new member who seems to be unable to reply to messages but am able to start new threads.

This is probably a stupid question, but I got to ask it anyways.

I recently bought a 2001 C2 with Arctic Silver exterior, Black leather interior and Aero kit. Since my car comes equipped with the "Boxster" style headlights, I was wondering if it was possible to change them out for the "Non-Boxster" headlights. My buddy recently crashed his 1999 GT3 and the car was totaled. He managed to take parts off the car and I'm wondering if there is any way I can swap the headlights.

Does this require replacing the front bumber? Or can I actually just make the swap?

I'm also taking alot of his carbon fiber pieces. This will make my already existing carbon fiber interior more complete!

Sorry if these questions sound dumb, but I'm new to the Porsche modding community after 7+ years in the BMW scene.

Do I have to message the moderators so that I can reply to threads? Or do I just keep waiting?

Thanks all!

Jeff

yeah, you will have to switch the bumper and fenders if you already have the lights... along with wiring and harnasses..

if you do a search, you can find a bunch of information. a few people have done this.

Your C/F pieces probably will not match also. They fade with time.

JNRSM3,

If you have your buddies car that is a post 2001 (02-04) then you should have everything you need to make the swap! Is this the case and or does this answer your question?

You're very close to me, let me know if you have any questions, I might be willing to stop by to see everything you have going......

-Eli

BTW: I'm sure you meant 02- GT3
