Oil Leak photo, question

Heya guys, thanks in advance if you can help.

So I changed the oil on my 2003 996 and the oil changing station service guy tells me that the alum oil plug is stripped and that they won't be able to apply the recommended torque. Sure as s... I get a slow leak. Question I have is do you know how I can get this replacement part without having a Dealer/Mechanic tell me that they need to inspect because it could be something else $$$

Thanks in advance

go to your local dealer and buy new plug.problem is that you need drain the oil again and refil.or suncoast parts have new plug for $4 i think.
Not big problem but your mechanic shut tell you that is strip before he put it back. That way you just pickup new one at your dealer and everythink is ok.

OK, is it the Hex drive that is stripped of the threads into the oil pan?

Glad to hear it is the hex, that is a no brainer to fix. If the oil is new just drain it in to a clean container and reuse it.
