New Wheels & Tires Help

Happy Holidays to all!

I am doing some post-Christmas shopping for my recently aquired 2003 C2 Cabriolet (black). The car is only driven on weekends and is my date night car for my wife and me.

The car has a set of factory 17 wheels. They look fine, but I really want to update the look of the wheels as well as the size. From reading various postings, it looks like I should go for 18's over a set of 19's. The roads in the Atlanta area are usually free of pot holes.

I need some help in determining if the either of the wheels in these two links (Turbo II replicas) will work with my car, what tire sizes should I consider for both the 18 and 19 and do I need spacers for either functionality or appearance, or both. Any pictures of similar setups would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your help. This forum has made owning my first Porsche that much more enjoyable!

I didnt look at the links but, try not to go too cheap. I would go 18s because if you get 19s you will have to lower the car a bit cuz it will not look right. (I had a 996 C4S.) Since comfort seems to be a bit of concern to you, another solid vote for the 18s. Dont get me wrong the 19s didnt ride bad but they will be slightly worse than 18s and the lowering issue.

Can't comment on the quality or whether they could quite possibly weight a ton, but they look pretty nice.
You should stick with the 18"
I took a quick check on ebay 'cause your link was messing up.
Appears they are of the correct OE offsets, so spacers would not be necessary.
You should be pursuing 8x18 with an offset Et50 & 10x18 with and offset ET65.
The correct tire sizes would be 225/40/18 & 285/30/18 readily available at the Rack.
Aside from clearance, the problem with 19's is the availability/selection of tires.
Stick a set of Yokohama Advan Neova AD08's or Michelin Pilot Sport A/S (If you just have to have an all season) and you will be very pleased.

Thanks for the replies. Are spacers also used to push out wheel for appearance reasons?
