Cool

I parked at my office this morning and went to run an errand 30 minutes later and measured it electronically before starting the car. Took 5 seconds.
Why bother checking the old fashioned way?

car must be level and measured 5-15 mins after engine shut down. It's best if you measure before starting the car since all the oil will be in the pan which is where the dipstick is measuring. Electronic measure may not be as accurate but it's pretty good and effortless.

My experience has shown that the electronic oil level indicator is as accurate as the dipstick. Let the car sit level f0r 15 minutes or more and you will get an correct reading.

Electronic oil level indicators?? Wow, I didn't know such things existed. How lazy can people get now!! haha J/k

Well, with the old school way of checking oil level....

Run the car for a few minutes so the oil gets circulated throughout the motor. Shut it off and let it sit for about 2-3 minutes so the oil gets drained back down to the oil pan. and then check for the level. That's what i do.

BTW- do you turbo porsche guys have a turbo timer installed or do they come stock from porsche?
