I have a gas hesitation issue and i noticed it was my MAF, so I changed it and engine revs great but car cannot idle and dies. I've tried pulling the battery to reset but same issue. ICV ?

 

Any chance you were a bonehead like me and replaced your MAF in the dark, only to install it 180-degrees wrong? That's what I did. The car would not idle when it was cold. Turned the MAF around correctly and viola!

thanks for the info. I did check it out but no matter what I do, car just dies. If u can keep the RPM up enough the car runs fine but once u let go of the throttle, it will drop rpms and quit. havn't figured out why. my only guess was the IDLING CONTROL VAVLE.

 

Can you turn up the heat or AC and does it idle, if so, u could be right and is the ICV perhaps.
