Front bumper options? Also, helo with removing aftermarket side skirts?

I bought my car from the previous owner with only 2rds of the mk1 aero kit. It had the rear (taco) wing and the side skirts. Painful I know...... To make things even worse, my car is yellow, so the aero kit would have been perfect..... He used after market parts, so it definitely didn't come with the front bumper.

Anyways, I've been looking for a front aero bumper and can't seem to find one for a decent price. I know that MA Shaw has an frp one, but I don't know if I want non-oem parts.....

What I was thinking of doing, since I don't drive much (I'm working 24/7 from home), is removing the wing and the side skirts for now, and then installing an oem deck lid, thus returning it to a "base" C2 look. Does anybody know how much work is involved with pulling the aero side skirts off? Will I need to repaint my old ones?

Thanks

You can swap the wing fairly quickly. I'd leave the side skirts as-is.

If I leave the side skirts won't the design look off? It won't flow with the rest of the body...... Are you saying to leave them on because pulling them off will be too much trouble, or perhaps damage the oem side skirts?

I'd leave the skirts alone thereby avoiding any potential problem. Yes, the overall design will be off but it should not look that bad.

Aren't the oem aerokit side skirts the same part as the flared rocker panel option?
