Every used car has it's issues thats why most people buy a new car. The issues on a 996 in all honesty are relatively minor considering the cost of the car new. 1000 repair on 30.000 honda/toyota etc. versus a 2.000 repair on an 80000+ Porsche. The big difference is 5-10 years from now the Prosche still will be worth a roughly what you paid for it. Try to find a used 911 that runs for less than 15000 of any year. You may spend more on repairs but will make it up in value when yoru ton not to mention smiles. I spent 25k on my car have put 7000 into repairs and 4 years later its still worth roughly 24k. 2k a year to drive a Porsche a stripper costs more and less smiles,

I drive the **** outta mine too! Love it! The only maintenance costs I have experienced are tires and oil. You always hear about the bad issues with anything never the 1000's of positives. If you cant afford to fix it then don't pretend like you have the wallet to drive it.
