Steering wheel adapter - Fit 997/987 steering wheel in a 996
Are there adapaters available to allow the fitting of a 987 / 997 steering wheel in a 996? The airbag would be one-stage instead of two-stage, but that's ok. I've tried checking ebay / Google / FVD but came up short. Any ideas?

Nope Thorstein, never heard of this. But then I think the plastic center 997 steering wheel must be one of the least attractive features of the new model, so I would not want to swap.
On the other hand, if I get too much money so that I can upgrade to a 997 C2S, I would love to have an adaptor so that I could carry over my 996 CF/stitched leather steering wheel.

I don't care much for carbon fibre when used as a design feature, and I do like my current steering wheel, which is in black leather with red stitching, matching the seats, dash and other interior details. But it's 380mm? and four spoke. I'd like a smaller and more sporty looking one.
Now regarding 997/998 wheels, there are quite a few different designs. Some are good, others not so good. I'm not a big fan of the circular airbags:
But these look good:
The pics are from a Cayman.
