Have any forum members had any experiance with German Independent in West L.A. Previously used Beverly Hills Porsche. Now out of porsche coverage, but with extended 60k Platinum Western General Warranty. 00 Cabrio w/ 40k (daily driver) replaced my Boxster. Considering keeping this one. However i have recently had a series of mechanical issues. (failed water pump & coolant tank, rear axel,driveshaft & gearbox oil leaks. As well as micro swithes for windows.
Sure it is not the most practical car in the world, (useless at carrying my kayak). But i cannot imagine a better (for myself) 4 seat convertable sports car. ( New 997 aside). I would like to keep this car, but the recent spate of mechanical issues all covered under warranty have me second guessing this decision.

I had some work done by them and they replaced parts not needed after I had pioneer test the parts. They allowed the return of the parts and credit for that change but not the labor.

 

I have had good luck with Specialists Inc in Santa Monica, and Otto's in Venice. Callas Rennsport in Torrance has a good rep.
