Test drove a C6 Vette hardtop yesterday. Thought I'd share my impressions.

Seat bottoms had springs that felt like cheap mattress!
Accel 0-60 didnt feel as fast
Brake was ok but still not as good as 996
Corning was pretty confident but I didn't go crazy since it was raining

Saw a cab and was surprised that its manual operation was not very easy to close.

Overall, I wasnt impressed. I guess that's the reason the car is about 1/2 the cost of a 996 when new. I hope to test the M3 soon too. I keep hearing M3 or C6 is so much of bargain. Guess I'll cross out the C6.

The numbers aren't that impressive too.

 

C6s arent that bad, it would spank a 996 straight line and give it one hell of a run in the corners. i would still rather have a 996 but you cant sleep on the vette
