Geetee, it was on my car when I bought it. It came from Sharkwerks, but they no longer carry it.

Only way to do those numbers is to go with TPC turbo if you have 10 grand seating around...

Thanks for the info.
Seems like giac and evomsit is the only tuning company avail for 99 cable.
I'd definately go TPC but not with 111k+ miles on original engine. If this engine blows, definately rebuild and TPC turbo.

If the engine blows, go N/A 4.0

FVD also offers ECU upgrade for the 98-99 3.4 engine.

Regarding power gains, I would rate my upgrades in the following order:
  1. Fabspeed X-pipe sport cats
  2. IPD plenum
  3. EVOMSit ECU
  4. EVOMS V-Flow intake
  5. FVD Headers
  6. Fabspeed exhausts

I would rate mods the same as Bjarne (I have the same mods...different brands on exhaust), with the exception of #1 would be the LWFW. I had to put factory cats back on to pass smog a few months ago. I removed them immediately after. The loss of power felt significant. It sounded way too quiet.

Interesting...In what order did you install these mods?

Install order was:
  1. EVOMS V-Flow intake
  2. IPD plenum
  3. FVD Headers
  4. Fabspeed exhausts
  5. EVOMSit ECU
  6. Fabspeed X-pipe sport cats
The parts was installed during a 18 month period and I have no measurements whatsoever, so the ordering is purely my subjective impression. However, I am reasonably sure that the X-pipes, plenum and ECU each made a significant difference, while I'm less confident about the individual significance of the intake, headers and exhausts.

Glad to hear someone else vouching for the effectiveness on the IPD plenum as there are mixed stories floating around. Since your talking about subjective measurements, care to elaborate on if you think the Plenum was more a throttle response type increase or actual power increase?

Also was your EVOSit ECU tuned specifically to the mods you had at the time? Or was it one of their generic tunes?

Thanks.

Well, it felt like more power in the high-midrange. Might also have improved the throttle response somewhat, which in my opinion is more important.

The EVOMSit tune was specific for all the mods, including the x-pipes. I received them at the same time and just could not wait to test drive the car with the EVOMSit tune prior to fitting the x-pipes. The EVOMSit tune made a night and day kind of difference to the throttle response (I had asked them specifically to optimize this), while the x-pipes made the mid range much stronger.

One experience with all of these mods was that a 3-rd gear overtaking manouvre behind a 993 with an unmodified car caused the distance (not time) between the cars to increase. Performing the same manouvre, behind the same 993 with the same two people in it with all the mods and an additional weight penalty of a 6 and a 9yo in the back, I was closing in rapidly when approaching the redline.
