Finally ordered an new Bumper....

I ordered an OEM AeroKit II bumper kit. It's a complete retrofit kit and was a lot less than ordering an OEM GT3 bumper(available as a replacement part only).

Strangely the GT3 bumper is the same bumper as the Aerokit II bumper, but the Aerokit bumper kit includes a smaller plastic splitter instead of the larger aggressive GT3 one. The Gt3 specific one is sold separatly anyway and not included with the Gt3 bumper in a kit. So I will most likely add the Gt3 plastic splitter later to replace the smaller one included in the aerokit bumper kit.

Oh I ordered it from Brandywine, a board sponser....

I would but the cost is way too much 2000+ dollars. If you could get me one for around 1200-1500 dollars then let's talk.

If Arling gives it to you then I'm going to give him my GT2 bumper for his GT6.

It seems that the RS bumper and Aerokit II bumper are the same price on Carnewal. How come more people don't put the RS bumper on their cars? Is there a fitment problem?

Where do you see that? I see an upgrade kit to the rennsport bumper, which I think is just a larger lip for the GT3 or AerokitII for 1595 euro.

The Aerokit bumper in the states can be had for the 1300-1500 dollar range with lip and the GT3 bumper no lip for 2500 and an rs bumper for 3k no lip.

Corey, what do you think it'll cost to paint it correctly?

Depends on the colour... I'm hoping around $500, ready to pay upto $1000. When I cracked my boxster's front bumper on my driveway, the only way to perfectly match orient red was to paint all the adjacent panels for about 1200 bucks. My 996 is midnight blue, so I'll let you know when I finally get it done. Meanwhile I'm waiting for the bumper to be in stock it was coming from germany.
