Replacing clutch in 99 996 2s

My clutch is slipping so i am going to be tearing the car down next week to replace the clutch and flywheel. I was also considering doing the RMS. Does anyone know where I can find a current parts list for this job? I know a lot of the old bolt part numbers have been superceded.... anyone know where to buy a porsche rms tool?
thanks

I think that an official RMS tool is pretty expensive. I've heard of someone making an RMS tool out of large diameter PVC pipe, and doing the job themselves, but I have no idea where you'd get the proper dimensions to make your own tool. I'd guess you should try someplace like Suncoast Porsche Parts and see how much they want for one. You might also try eBay.

+1 Suncoast for parts. FYI, if the RMS is not leaking, it is my understanding to not replace it. Though I have a feeling that you may be referring to the IMS (intermediate shaft bearing). In which case, I would recommend replacement while the tranny is out. I also own a '99 996. And, I am curious to know how my miles you have on your odometer?

my car has just over 70k on it. I dont know if the rms is leaking or weeping? There is oil but its not enough to even drip??? I saw there are two tools for rms ...one is the 251 and one is the 250 but it doesnt say which one you need

FWIW, when my clutch goes I'm going to do the IMS upgrade just to make me feel better. Probably means having a shop do it instead of DIY. I would also recommend a LWFW. Good luck!
