Litronics Retrofit Problem!

I just acquired some like new litronics headlights for my 99 C2.
I thought everything was just a plug and play install untill I ran into a problem.
Seems that once the litronics were installed, the left headlight small bulb stays on, along with the left side marker light.
If I turn the light switch in the car 1 click to the right, the right headlight small bulb cmes on and the left headlight goes out.
When I turn the light switch in the car all the way to the right, all the headlight and fog lights come on as they should.
When I turn the light switch to off (all the way to the left), the right headlight small bulb and right side marker light comes on again. Auhhhhh!
What is going on?
I assumed that the existing wiring would work fine with the new litronics.
I realize that all the functions of the litronics will not work without the retrofit wiring harness and control unit.
Please help!!

OK...if you mean that you got 99-01 or Boxster Litronics then yes you will not have to do anything BUT change your fuses. Your headlight fuses will need to be changed because the Litronics will blow, I guess they are more of a drain, so try that.....Make sure they are ALL the way in....I did the same for my car and there was no issues with the lights on my Boxster, and then on my 996...same lights for both cars.

Thanks!
I think everything is OK now.
I reinstalled the lights and they are working properly now.
Must have been not all the way pushed in.
No fuse problems yet - guess I will eventualy switch out the fuses.
Thanks again!

Actually I don't think you need to change the fuses, the litronics use less power than the halogen. If you are going the other way from a factory setup you need to change the fuses.

mine blew my fuses instantly....the litronics actually use a higher rated fuse.
