Harley42 is an unknown quantity at this point
I’ve also repaired the drivers sun visor, and seat cushion and carrier, pax door regulator, added PORSCHE across Back deck, and replaced black Carrera w/ a chrome one, replaced LCD a/c glass, old one kaput, next project is an auto-dim rear view mirror and re do center upright console w/ a double din screen, maybe kenwood or similar w/ Bluetooth, cd, fm, usb. Someone already installed a 500 W amp in the frunk, and it put out just fine. I’m just sorry I didn’t get one of these 911’s sooner in life. It’s a blast!

Also new plugs. I’m expecting a 5 k bill. I get to go by and see the progress, very interesting, and they’re very accommodating. I did just see the original bearing, and it looked ok, seals intact, but mech. did say there was a lot of oil in the shaft tube. I didn’t think there was supposed to be much oil in there, the bearing spun smoothly, but w/ the amount of oil in there, maybe it was starting to leak? Think I’ll sleep better anyway. I’ll get it registered w/ LN to be on the safe side, and in case someday I sell it.
If there is oil in the intermediate shaft, then that means the grease seal on the bearing has been compromised. This is the very beginning stage of failure. Fortunately, you caught it before it went to the next stage. Once it starts shedding metal, then it's too late for a retrofit. You made a wise choice going with the IMS Solution.
