tried get a 996C4S on swaplease.com

found a great deal on swaplease.com (at least i think), take over a 2003 911 C4S with 18000 miles with good amount of options for only 23 months without any money upfront. would enjoy factory warranty for the whole time, and have the option to buy it back for 41k at the end.

thought was a great idea, talk to the owner and was ready to do it. except the seller's bank do not allow a take over from california resident

so my dream of a porsche has once again fell apart!

If I were you, I would go to a Porsche dealer, pick out a nice used 996 and make a lease deal. You should use Porsche financial and demand 0 security deposit, 0 down payment, you will only pay 1st month and lic. They will go for it, trust me.

So, what that tells me is the '03 C4S, which I bought used, in Feb '05, with 12000 miles, for 65k, will be worth 41k in 2 years....that's a 50k drop in 4 years..........talk about a lead baloon!!!!!!!!!

not ture.... the guy paid a 5k down when he picked up the car 2 years ago. so techinically need to add that to the buy off. not to mention, you would've enjoyed your car while i envy every porsche on the street!

41k is the agreed to residual value of the car( after 2yrs of payments based on x% value during those two yrs) after x yrs and x miles, not the same as market value which could be higher or lower. Don't worry Landis, you have a good deal.
