Well, if the looks don't convince you (and I realize it's a personal choice), then maybe defeating a large percentage of the effectivness of not just the engine cooling system, but also the aftercooler. Those grills have removed a minimum of 60% of the air flow past the radiators. The effectieness of the aftercoller adds about 30% of the power you are getting from the blower.

Additionally, with the crappy 91 octane fuel in California, the increase in intake heat is putting the engine at further risk. You should be doing mods that will INCREASE the cooling of the intake if performance is your concern. Your intake temp is probably closer to 50F above ambient temperature (at least) rather than the 20F the aftercooler should be producing.

Interesting....with the 3rd radiator for the supercharger system, this still applies? Do you just leave empty holes? I am a bit partial to the aestetics of it all.

Thanks for the feedback

A good example of the power loss would be to compare how your car performs on a crisp 40F morning versus a hot 80F day. Big difference.

When the HOT compressed air from the blower passes through the after cooler, much of the heat is removed by the water which in turn heats up the water. The water is pumped through the radiiator to be cooled. If you have reduced the air passing through this radiator, you have also reduced the cooling ability of the radiator. The water will continue to increase in temperature up to where the radiator can maintain a specific cooling level. There is NO fan for your third radiator and it depends soley on air passing through the bumper opening to cool.
