Tire Pressure

What pressures are advised for C4S front and rear stock tires....Pilots? From dealer rear pressure was greater than 50 psi.

An addendum...I drive on some rough roads. Also wanted to know if I could use 17 inch wheels and somewhat smaller tires?

Whoa...50 PSI - Thats way too high.

Make sure that you measure the tyre pressures when the tyres are cold (ie. before driving off). I think the rears should be around the 42 PSI mark and the fronts around 38 PSI - have a look in the instruction manual as it specifies cold tyre pressures.

Yes you may run 17's with no problems and then you can drop tyre sizes as recommended/dictated by the rim size.

When mentioning tyre sizes - I assume you are referring to tyre diameter and not tyre width?

Make sure you use a half decent tyre guage to measure the pressure.

Note also regarding tyre widths - Keep in mind that you can have an effect on handling ie. Larger fronts more oversteer - Larger rears more understeer etc
