Question about 996 vs. Boxster shift cable length/compatability

I'm building a '65 corvair using a C2 996 manual trans and an LS Chevy motor (using an adapter).

Something I've been thinking about is the shift cable length. The corvair has a longer wheel base than the Porsche 996. Because the Boxster is mid engine obviously the shift cables are longer.

The question is would these shift cables be cross compatible i.e. the fittings on the ends, and how much longer would the boxster cables be? Is there some other porsche product with similar cables?
thankyou in advance

Ironic, because I literally just got an email from them about this question. They didn't have a direct answer for me, but did say they could make me a cable in whatever length I needed (though he didn't specify a price...)
